“ We came here after spending some time at the Crater of Diamonds State Park. The restaurant was empty when we arrived. You seat yourself and when we sat down the waitress got to us immediately and took our drink order. Throughout our time the service was top notch and they checked in with us frequently. The appetizer of chili cheese fries was fantastic! My burger was also very good. The burger had jalapeños, pepperjack cheese, lettuce, and mayo on it. The tater tots were not the best though. The price was a little high but I can understand as it is a very small town. I would definitely visit this establishment again if we were to return to the area! ”

“ Southern Diner had yummy food and friendly people! We really enjoyed eating here! We had dinner and breakfast here while we enjoyed our stay in Murfreesboro. My grandson enjoyed the quesadillas, and the Philly omelette was delicious! My husband liked the chicken fried steak and the western omelette. Our favorite was the deluxe western hash browns! ”

“ We came here after a morning of diamond hunting! It was a cute little spot with a variety of choices for adults and kids alike. There was a salad bar but we decided to go with Chips and Queso, buffalo chicken wrap, fried pickles and a BLT. Everyone enjoyed their lunch and the fried pickles were a stand out with great ranch for dipping! The waitress was awesome and helped the kids pick something out to eat. Great spot! ”

The patty melt was the best I ever had and it came with tater tots that were crisp and hot. The sweet tea was fresh. The service was fantastic. The decor was rustic Southern. The prices were better than reasonable. They had the most extensive list of fried pies I've ever seen but I was too full to get one. Five stars plus in my book! ”

“ Down to earth place. Small local restaurant. The food was delicious. We had chicken fried steaks, loaded baked potatoes, chips, and salsa and cheese sticks. The waitress and bus girl were great. ”

“ Ordered a breFed chicken sandwich with tater tots and unsweetened ice tea I was not expecting much out of the ordinary and was not even planning on leaving a Yelp review I took the first bite of my sandwich Wow! Did not expect the crispy tasty chicken! I asked the waitress if they did their own breading and the answer was yes This is by far the absolute best chicken sandwich I've had. Tots were tots, frozen and fried but a nice alternative to regular fries Wait stuff friendly and nice. If your here for the cratet of diamonds state park stop in for the chicken! ”
